Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Store Manager to join our team in Hartlepool, United Kingdom. As a key member of our management team, you will play a crucial role in driving store performance, leading staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

  1. Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and achieving sales targets
  2. Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates
  3. Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained throughout the store
  4. Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising
  5. Analyse sales data and implement strategies to improve store performance
  6. Handle cash management and financial procedures accurately
  7. Resolve customer complaints and address staff concerns promptly
  8. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe store environment
  9. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
  10. Cover for the Store Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for the store

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience of 2-3 years in retail management, preferably as an assistant manager or supervisor
  2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
  3. Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional shopping experiences
  4. Proficiency in inventory management and visual merchandising techniques
  5. Solid understanding of sales analysis and profit-driving strategies
  6. Experience in cash handling and financial procedures
  7. Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution and problem-solving
  8. Excellent time management and organisational skills
  9. Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices
  10. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a retail environment
  11. Understanding of loss prevention techniques
  12. A-levels or equivalent (preferred)
  13. Retail management certification (preferred)
  14. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
