With our expanding services, an exciting career opportunity has arisen for a Full Time registered nurse to join our team on the Endoscopy Unit.
The Endoscopy Units’ within the Trust perform a variety of standard and advanced Endoscopic procedures for both out-patients and in-patients including; gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, percutaneous endoscopic gastroscopy (PEG) insertion, oesophageal stenting and ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography).
The Endoscopy unit is presently open between 08:00hrs to 19:00hrs 7 days a week. We have a Nurse ‘On Call’ Emergency Upper GI rota, which covers Out of Hours which you will be expected to be included in. We aim to provide the very highest standards of care to patients and relatives alike ensuring privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.
Reporting to the Endoscopy Sister, the successful candidate will be responsible for the Clinical Education of the staff in all areas of Endoscopy, Trust Core Learning, the development of student nurses whilst on placement in this area, and deputise in the absence of Sister. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate good leadership skills, be adaptable to a changing environment and possess good written and verbal communication skills. A commitment to personal/professional development is required and a teaching/mentorship certificate is essential.
