An exciting opportunity has arisen for a gynae nurse specialist to join our friendly, highly motivated, dynamic and hard-working Emergency Gynaecology team on AGTU at QMC campus of NUH.
A passion for the delivery of high quality care is essential for supporting the needs of our patients. As a band 6 nurse specialist you will be required to demonstrate the ability to work independently and lead on the care in our early pregnancy areas of GTU.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care to patients in the AGTU clinical area.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
Provide strong clinical leadership.
Support the emotional needs of women and their families attending GTU.
Provide expert knowledge of gynae and early pregnancy complications on a 24/7 basis.
Minimum Requirements
Training & Qualifications
Level one Adult NMC registration.
Relevant gynaecology / early pregnancy experience.
Evidence of continued professional development e.g. pain management, venepuncture & cannulation.
Masters Degree in health / nursing related studies.
Experience
Supervision / mentoring experience & skills.
Experience of gynaecology / early pregnancy / bereavement pathways.
Evidence of link nurse / audit / project work.
Evidence of giving individual feedback.
Ability to prioritise patient care/needs.
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication.

Evidence of MDT working.
Evidence of formal teaching sessions.
