Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced peer support worker to join our senior peer support lead team as a deputy peer support lead. This post is for 6 month fixed term, an ideal opportunity to gain experience supporting our existing peer support leads in the ongoing development of our peer support worker staffing group. You will have an opportunity to develop staff training workshops, deliver supervision, both individually and in peer groups, deliver PSW training course as well as supporting the recruitment processes and contribute to the development of PSWs.
If you have a minimum of 2 years experience of working as a PSW and have experience of providing supervision for staff and delivering and developing training, please consider applying for this exciting new role. They will support the Peer Support Lead in the introduction of new peer support worker roles within the organisation.
They will support the delivery of the PSW Training Programme.
They will support clinical teams with development of new peer support roles, the selection and interview process and work with PSWs and teams to embed the peer support role.
They will provide individual and group supervision to peer support workers.
They will support the development of materials educating people about what the PSW role is within NSFT and be responsible for responding to enquiries about the peer support role and becoming a peer support worker.

- Co-delivering training sessions
- Providing support, coaching and supervision to PSWs on the programme
- Supporting student development and wellbeing during the training course. Providing additional support for students during and outside of the training course.
- Supporting the review and assessment process for written assignments/portfolios and giving support and feedback.
To assist the Peer Support Lead to work with Clinical and Service Managers to embed the peer worker roles within clinical Services.
To work with teams to establish PSW roles in all clinical areas and provide expertise around how to maintain and sustain these positions.
To support with the recruitment process of peer support workers and provide expertise, knowledge, and experience to aid this process.
