Job description

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust

The postholder will provide full support to the Site Support Services Manager for the Adult Services and Perinatal Mental Health Service based at Park Royal Hospital.

Main duties of the job

  1. In liaison with Site Support Services Manager, other local managers (attached to the other Service Lines), senior site team, various departments at The Trust Headquarters (Facilities, Estates, IT, Procurement, Finance etc.) provide support and be responsible for helping manage all site-related support services issues. This will include monitoring standards of service delivery and financial control.
  2. Support SSM in local management of non-clinical functions, including:
    1. Catering
    2. Domestic services
    3. Security
    4. Grounds and gardens
    5. Parking
    6. Environmental response to complaints
    7. Maintenance
  3. Communicate and liaise directly with the Site Support Services Manager, Local Managers and Trust Headquarters regarding site-related issues. Initiating and working jointly with others, including services users and providers, on services development issues.

This job description is intended to provide a broad outline of the main responsibilities only. The post holder is required to be flexible in developing their role in agreement with their designated manager. In addition, they may be required by their manager to carry out any other duty commensurate with their banding and expertise.

Person Specification

EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent experience
  • A level or equivalent

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant qualification/experience in Hard FM and Soft FM - Substantial years' experience in managing building environments
  • Experience of working within the public sector
  • Experience of working in a mental health environment

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Salary: £42,939 to £50,697 a year per annum inc HCAS (pro rata if P/T)
