We are looking for a motivated, driven, and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our vibrant team in Horsforth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic professional with a passion for early years education and leadership to support our Nursery Manager and lead a dedicated team in delivering outstanding care and education to our children.
About the Role: As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining a high standard of care and education while adhering to regulatory and safeguarding guidelines. You'll be a hands-on leader, supporting staff, fostering positive relationships with parents, and ensuring the nursery meets all operational, educational, and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Nursery Manager in the management and delivery of the nursery's operational and educational objectives.
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of early years practitioners.
- Ensure that the nursery meets all safeguarding and regulatory standards.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a nurturing, welcoming environment.
- Take responsibility for managing staffing, budgets, and resource allocation where necessary.
- Assist with planning and implementing effective educational programs for the children.
- Be proactive in identifying areas for development and driving improvements across the nursery.
About You: We are looking for a driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can take on challenges with ease. To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a management position within a nursery or similar childcare setting.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- A solid understanding of the early years framework and current childcare regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure and problem-solve effectively.
