Job description

Role: Deputy Nursery Manager

School: Independent School

Location: West Sussex (Crawley/East Grinstead area)

Salary: £22,000 - £35,000 depending on experience and qualifications

Start Date: April 2025

An outstanding and thriving independent school in West Sussex is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager. This is a full-time, permanent role from April 2025.

This independent school aims to provide a broad and stimulating education within a caring and friendly environment for all pupils. Children are taught to think for themselves, with an emphasis on each child achieving their best. The Pre-Prep School recognizes that early years are a time of wonder and discovery, and all staff work hard to ensure children are given the right stimulation to make the most of their learning experience and have fun! The Head identifies that this is the start of a child's educational journey, and it is important to ensure their day of activities is both enjoyable and enriching. Facilities are excellent, with vibrant classrooms and outstanding resources.

The early years provision includes babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers aged from 6 months to 4 years, and is open 50 weeks of the year. The Deputy Nursery Manager will play an integral part in developing the baby room, with potential to move to a new site and be integral to the transition. The successful candidate will deliver a creative, challenging, and motivating curriculum rich with extra-curricular opportunities and must have at least an NVQ Level 3 qualification.

If you are interested in working in a vibrant and thoughtful school that is outstanding in all areas, please apply by sending your CV or contact Duncan Eaglesham at 07860 845 741 for an informal conversation and more information. The school has a strong ethos of student welfare; therefore, any successful applicant will undergo a full enhanced criminal record check (DBS).
