We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager based within the toddler room to join the team at a private nursery in Reading, the salary is up to £30,000 depending on experience.
You will be working in a great team and will become a key part of the nursery’s internal structure with the opportunity to strengthen both your leadership skills. You will assist the Nursery Manager with the effective day-to-day management of the nursery while leading the Toddler Room. You will ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
You will develop open and positive working relationships with staff and support, supervise, train, and appraise all staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice. You will support the Nursery Manager to identify training needs, develop training plans, and evaluate training undertaken by staff.
You will assist the Nursery Manager in delivering agreed occupancy targets and maintain effective methods of communication with children, staff, parents, and carers. You will help with the recruitment and training across the nursery and in the future will have more time across the whole nursery.
You must be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Childcare & Education and have previous experience in a similar role.
