Deputy Manager - Residential Home for Adults with Learning Disabilities

Are you an experienced Deputy Manager or Service Manager with a background in managing care services for adults with learning or physical disabilities? The Deputy Manager Role:

  1. Support and manage the teams who deliver care within the care home, ensuring high-quality person-centred support is consistently provided.
  2. Take responsibility for the development and implementation of systems and processes within the service.
  3. Ensure through auditing that all care documentation is up to date and reflective of each individual’s needs.
  4. Handle safeguarding issues.
  5. Ensure that when people’s care needs change, they are re-assessed, and new contracts are put in place to meet their needs.
  6. Work on new business opportunities for the service.
  7. Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.

About You:

  1. Experienced Deputy Manager / Supported Living Manager / Service Manager of a regulated care service, such as a care home or supported living service.
  2. Driven by a passion to deliver person-centred services for people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
  3. Ideally, hold QCF Level 5 qualification in Leadership of Social Care, or be willing to work towards it.
  4. Good knowledge of CQC standards and legislation relevant to managing social care.
