Job description

Job title: Deputy Home Care Manager
Location: Camden
Salary: £32,000 - £34,000

Purosearch are looking for an experienced Deputy Care Manager to join an 'Outstanding' and award-winning provider.

You will work closely with the Owner and Registered Manager to coordinate the development of a high quality private domiciliary care service for older people in the local area.

  1. Promote the highest standards of care and service with a focus on person centred care.
  2. Carry out care planning and conduct risk assessments ensuring compliance to relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  3. Ensure successful operation of quality control systems and performing quality assurance visits for clients.
  4. Continually review and improve processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is always being delivered.
  5. Effectively manage complaints and incidents, carrying out investigations relating to the quality of the service and using those findings to initiate improvements.
  6. Ensure relevant reports are forwarded to relevant bodies e.g. CQC.
  7. Provide inspired leadership to the team making sure that exceptional service is delivered to the clients and workloads are managed accordingly ensuring safe staffing levels.
  8. Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to by all employees.
  9. Keep up to date with changes in legislation and regulations.
  10. Proactively identify own development areas in line with business objectives and the duties of your role, taking action within a reasonable timeframe.
  11. Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business.

You will have:

  1. Proven experience in leading, training and managing a team to provide high quality domiciliary care services.
  2. Have or be willing to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership.
  3. Access to a vehicle and hold a Full UK driving licence.
  4. Excellent knowledge and understanding of compliance and legislative requirements of the Care Standards regulations.
  5. Strong skills in conducting care assessment and care planning.
  6. Good understanding of systems and processes.
  7. Drive and motivation to take on a broad role and develop care services.
  8. Ability to work well and accurately under pressure.
  9. Be flexible to meet demands of the business including participating in an on-call rota.
