Description

Oliver! London are looking for a Deputy Head of Automation to join their team at the Gielgud Theatre.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience befitting of a large-scale musical of the highest calibre.

We will be reviewing applications as we receive them, with a view for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist the head of department in coordinating the efficient management of the Automation department.
  2. Cover the backstage automation plot for performances, rehearsals, and other events as required.
  3. Operate the automation desk for performances, rehearsals, and other events as required.
  4. Cover the Head of Automation when they are absent.
  5. Help maintain all automation equipment to a high standard.
  6. Assist in the creation and maintenance of an up-to-date maintenance record and show bible.
  7. Be prepared to teach or learn any show plots when necessary.
  8. Attend meetings or training courses as required.
  9. Provide accurate time sheets on a weekly basis.
  10. Attend promotional events such as publicity and photographic calls, press and media interviews, and press junkets as required.
  11. Be aware of the Producer's health and safety policies and ensure that requirements in relation to health and safety are met within the department.
  12. Uphold and promote at all times the Producer's child protection policy and related procedures and guidelines.
  13. Comply with the Producer's policies and procedures in force from time to time, including but not limited to the Producer's policies on Equal Opportunities, Bullying and Harassment, Safeguarding, Social Media, Data Protection.
  14. Undertake any other reasonable duties asked for by the Producer.
