We are currently looking for exceptional people to join our team and have a great opportunity for a Deputy General Manager.

The Deputy General Manager would be expected to drive the business forward, ensuring the deliverance of high standards in service. You will be responsible for the effective operational management of the hotel and exceed the revenue and guest satisfaction targets.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

  1. Assist the General Manager with the management of the professional hotel's team.
  2. Assist the Head of Departments to deliver their KPI's.
  3. Manage a team of Managers to ensure that all aspects of the business are well run, delivering company standards and customer expectations.
  4. Ensure that costs are controlled and that we maximise the productivity of the team through effective rostering and ownership.
  5. Keep the team up to date about departmental, hotel and company activities through daily communications to enable the team to communicate effectively with customers.
  6. Monitor and review customer feedback to ensure that we learn from the feedback, generate ideas to implement, and make the changes that are necessary to keep the hotel moving forward.
  7. Lead and develop an energetic workforce, having involvement in recruitment, learning and development, employee relations issues, and team engagement initiatives.
  8. Support the General Manager with projects as well as the daily operation of the hotel.
  9. Duty Management Shifts as required.
  10. Ensure all employees consistently achieve product and hospitality service standards.
  11. Ensure a high degree of guest care, whilst consistently aiming by set criteria to meet the Financial and Business objectives.
  12. Act on behalf of the General Manager in their absence.
  13. Carry out quality training and coaching in a systematic and professional manner.

Requirements of the role:

  1. Senior Department Manager looking for their first Operations Manager position.
  2. Strong rooms and food and beverage background.
  3. Ability to lead and motivate your team, providing day-to-day leadership and direction.
  4. Ability to drive sales and profitability forward.
  5. Excellent customer service skills, standards driven, good organisational skills.
  6. Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment and to enjoy it.
  7. Proficient in using computer systems.
