Deputy Engineering Manager - R&D

A leading technology company based in Maidenhead, Berkshire is looking for a Deputy Engineering Manager - R&D. The business is part of a global group and continues to grow year on year, with sites both in the UK and overseas.

The Deputy Engineering Manager - R&D will report into the Engineering Manager and will lead a mixed-disciplined R&D team (approximately 5 engineers initially) working on a range of projects for clients globally.

Responsibilities of the Deputy Engineering Manager - R&D job:

1. Lead a development team of embedded software engineers
2. Deliver the roadmap and work closely with the product management team
3. Work to build a high-performing engineering team and culture

Key skills / experience required for the Deputy Engineering Manager - R&D job:

1. An embedded software or hardware design background with strong embedded software knowledge
2. Proven experience of managing embedded software and hardware development projects
3. A strong product development background and understanding of manufacturing processes
4. Experience of working within and line managing a multi-disciplined design team
