The Deputy Director of Quality Governance will support the Chief Nurse by working closely with the senior operational clinical team and other corporate services, to provide strong quality governance to ensure that the Trust provides high quality services and is fully compliant with the regulatory bodies.
The role offers an exciting opportunity for collaborative working between Stockport Foundation Trust and Tameside and Glossop integrated care, with the future potential for the position to extend across both trusts, allowing for broader impact and professional growth.
The Deputy Director of Quality Governance will support the Chief Nurse and Medical Director to develop a governance framework to be embedded across the organisation to ensure quality governance arrangements are robust and have oversight of Trust compliance across corporate and operational service. They will work in close partnership with the Trust Secretary on the board assurance framework and governance assurance meetings system.
The Deputy Director of Quality Governance will have strategic responsibility to oversee the delivery of compliance, complaints, inquests and claims, risks, incidents and serious incidents, health and safety, policy governance, and patient experience.
The post-holder will work in a proactive partnership with the senior operational/clinical team and key external senior governance leads to ensure robust, effective and flexible governance arrangements are in place across the Trust.
In collaboration with the senior leadership team, provide leadership and direction to ensure there are effective clinical governance systems implemented across all divisions, ensuring all risks are identified and managed in accordance with the Trust’s assurance framework processes. Ensure that the Trust complies with statutory, regulatory, contractual and best practice requirements in relation to governance quality, with effective monitoring processes in place.
