Up to £36,400 + £150 per month on-call

I am looking for a Deputy Manager or Senior/Team Leader looking to progress, to work in a new children’s home that will provide a safe home to children and young people with mental health issues and emotional and behavioural disorders. The home is part of a charity helping to transform the lives of young people and adults across the UK.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in managing all aspects of the day-to-day running of a children’s residential home
2. Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence
3. Promote the safeguarding of the young people’s welfare
4. Promote education and diversity to ensure individual needs are met
5. Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and company requirements
6. Participate in the on-call roster

Minimum Requirements

1. A minimum of 2 years' experience working with Children and Young People in a Residential setting
2. Recent experience working either as a Children's Home Deputy Manager or as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker/Team Leader in a Children's Home
3. Minimum QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (in line with Ofsted requirements)
4. Enthusiasm and commitment to completing QCF Level 5 Children, Young People and Families Manager qualification
5. The flexibility to cover shifts in line with the needs of the home; they do aim for the Deputy to work Monday to Friday 9-5, but flexibility is required
6. A full UK Driving Licence is essential
