Job Title: Deputy Care Manager
Location: Ilford, London
Salary: Up to £35k

About the Role:
A leading provider of specialist care services is seeking an experienced and driven Deputy Care Manager for their London branch. This role supports the care coordinator and healthcare team, reporting directly to the Managing Director. The successful candidate will lead a team of care coordinators, senior carers, and carers to ensure the delivery of exceptional one-to-one care for vulnerable adults and children with disabilities and complex healthcare needs, while ensuring full compliance with all relevant care regulations, particularly CQC guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage a team of care coordinators, senior carers, and carers.
  2. Enhance the company's profile in the London area and within the care industry.
  3. Liaise with coordinators, carers, and service users to schedule care calls and manage rotas.
  4. Draft care plans and risk assessments in compliance with CQC standards.
  5. Collaborate with Social Services, service users, carers, and other professionals to resolve queries and share information.
  6. Prepare and distribute weekly rotas to care staff.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date service user files and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  8. Manage holiday and sickness schedules to minimise service disruption.
  9. Update care service plans based on feedback from Social Services, service users, or their families.
  10. Investigate and respond to complaints from service users or local authorities following established procedures.

Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role in the UK or 2+ years of experience as a Care Coordinator.
  2. Strong computer literacy and communication skills.
  3. NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in Health and Social Care.
  4. UK driving license and access to a car.
