We’re looking for an enthusiastic Deputy Café Manager to join our team and help us keep Bad Moon Café wonderful.

As the Deputy Cafe Manager of our Board Games Café, you will work closely with the Café Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations. You’ll be responsible for ensuring a smooth and enjoyable customer experience, supporting staff development, and contributing to the growth and success of the business. Your leadership will help maintain the high standards we’re known for and inspire our team to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Experience:

Ensure customers have an exceptional and enjoyable experience by providing top-notch service.

Oversee the café's operations to ensure a welcoming, clean, and well-organized environment.

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and friendly manner.

Organize and host board game events, tournaments, and special themed nights to engage the community.

Staff Management:

Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising staff, ensuring all team members are knowledgeable about our games, food, and drinks.

Motivate and support the team to maintain a high standard of service.

Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for staff development.

Operational Support:

Support the Café Manager in day-to-day operations, including inventory management, ordering stock, and managing resources.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role in the hospitality industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers and staff in a positive and engaging way.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.

Ability to lead by example and create a positive work environment.

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
