Job Title: Depot Manager
Location: Hereford
Package: Circa. £45,000 Basic Salary, Company Car, Bonus Scheme, Company Pension, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays.
We are looking for a Depot Manager to come onboard a well-established construction hire company with a strong national reach. Having successfully grown and expanded their operation over the last 20 years, they now have multiple locations across the UK, alongside an award-winning business reputation.
As Depot Manager, you will take full ownership of the Hereford branch, where you will play a crucial role in running the day-to-day operations, overseeing the depot P&L, and working closely with the team to manage customer service, hire processes, and meeting client needs.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Managing staff: Supervising depot staff and ensuring they perform well.
- Managing the depot: Ensuring the depot is clean and tidy, and that all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
- Managing customers: Liaising with customers to ensure they are satisfied, and dealing with any complaints or issues.
- Managing operations: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the depot, including managing stock levels, fleet management, and purchasing.
- Managing costs: Ensuring the depot is performing against budgets and that all costs are managed.
- Managing health and safety: Ensuring that all work is carried out in line with health and safety guidelines.
Requirements of Role:
- The ideal candidate will have experience in a Depot Manager or Branch Manager role.
- Previous experience in managing and leading a team.
- Experience working within a Plant Hire, Tool Hire, Powered Access, Construction Hire, or Builders Merchants environment.
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
