Depot Transport Manager

£60,000- £64,000pa + benefits
Fantastic opportunity for a Transport Depot management professional to join a fast moving and dynamic 3PL operation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ultimate responsibility for the day-to-day transport and warehouse operations
2. Ensuring the provision of a first-class service in the most cost-effective manner
3. Efficient management of vehicle scheduling and the maximisation of vehicle utilisation
4. Manage the receiving / despatch of goods in line with customer needs while ensuring individual and team KPI's are met.
5. Ensure that all inventory is accounted for and stored correctly.
6. Recruitment, retention and training of the Warehouse and Transport teams.

Key Skills/Experience:

1. Track record in a similar role within a customer centric transport and warehouse operation
2. Transport Manager CPC is desirable
3. Proven experience of delivering against agreed budgets and KPI's
4. Ensuring site compliance with all relevant employment / transport legislation
5. Proven leadership abilities with the presence and charisma to lead a sizeable team
6. An understanding of CI techniques, KPI management, Employment Law and H&S legislation
