Albert House Dental is a well-established 5 surgery dental practice located on Albert Road Colne.

Offering NHS/Private orthodontic treatments, along with a wide range of treatments including implants, periodontology, and cosmetic treatments.

Key responsibilities & duties:

1. Assist the patient into surgery, settle them in the chair and prepare them for treatment.
2. Provide the patient with personal protective equipment.
3. Produce instruments and materials as necessary during treatment.
4. Provide chairside assistance during all dental procedures.
5. Ensure all lab work is checked and available prior to patients' arrival.
6. Develop and file all x-rays, whilst adhering to the relevant safety procedures.
7. Maintain a clean environment during surgery, cleaning and sterilising instruments after each patient.
8. Adhere to the Company policy on cross infection.
9. Dispose of all clinical waste in a manner compliant with current regulations.
10. Escort the patient from the surgery and when necessary to the reception area.
11. Maintain and clean all equipment as per the manufacturer's instructions.
12. Use the checklists provided outlining a schedule of daily and weekly tasks.
13. Switch equipment on in the morning and ensure it is switched off again at the end of each working session.
14. Ensure that adequate stocks of expendable drugs, materials and instruments are available.
15. Ensure that all equipment faults are reported promptly to the Practice Manager.
16. Immediately report any breach of cross infection controls or bad practice to the Practice Manager.

1. Qualified dental nurse
