Job Title: Dental Assistant Trainee

Job type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday Operating Hours 9am-5pm, Alternate Saturdays: 9am-1pm

About the Practice:

We encourage and promote preventative dentistry for both adults and children. We offer both NHS and Private treatment as part of a busy three surgery practice, which is well served by the Metro system and is a 10 minutes walk to the City Centre. We provide a range of Private Cosmetic Dental Treatments such as Implants, Invisalign (invisible braces), Crowns, Veneers, White Fillings, and Tooth whitening. Additionally, we offer a private hygienist service as well as standard hygiene treatment; our hygienist also offers ProphyJet stain removal.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare treatment rooms and assist during procedures.
  2. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
  3. Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointments.
  4. Handle basic laboratory tasks and manage inventory.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Enthusiasm and a genuine interest in dental healthcare.
  2. Good communication skills in English.
  3. Ability to follow instructions.
  4. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  5. Empathy and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients.
  6. Basic IT skills.
  7. Willingness to adhere to strict hygiene and infection control protocols.
  8. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
  9. Willingness to undergo relevant training and continuing education in dental nursing.
  10. Ability to handle dental instruments and equipment with care.
  11. Punctuality and a professional appearance.
  12. Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom, including any necessary work permits or visas if applicable.
  13. Full training provided; no previous experience is required.
