Damira Dental Studios has 42 dental practices across London, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire and we are growing! Our practices offer a mix of NHS and private dental care with a passion for patient customer care.

Damira Dental Studios are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Dental Area Manager to oversee the operations of multiple NHS and private dental practices within the designated geographical area around London and beyond. As an integral part of our dental management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and profitability of the practices while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Your exceptional leadership skills, business acumen, and passion for dentistry will play a crucial role in driving success across the dental practices under your supervision.

Job Title: Dental Area Manager

Consideration: We would be happy to consider an experienced Dental practice manager wanting to step up to a Dental Area Manager role, but ideally, we are looking for a minimum of 2 years relevant dental management experience.

Mandatory: UK Dental Management experience and travel involved.

Nature of Employment: Permanent, Full time (around 40 hours per week). Home based once a week.

Reporting Structure: Reports into the Managing & Clinical Director, Owner of Damira Dental Studios.

Pay & Perks: From £40k dependent on experience plus £5000 car allowance and benefits.

Sponsorship: We are unable to sponsor Visas for this role so applicants would need to have valid authorization to work in the UK.

Travel: Home based once a week but travel to sites the rest of the week. A valid UK driving licence is preferred due to travel requirements between locations.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must have previous dental practice management experience for a corporate.
  • Extremely organised and able to handle a fast-paced environment and react to business needs.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and handle challenging situations confidently in both internal and external environments.
  • A dynamic management style being professional, friendly, flexible, and approachable.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, honest, and well presented.
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft packages.
  • Team player as well as working individually.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
  • A vision to learn and grow with the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Will be required to drive private performance in the area.
  • Managing the Clinical governance and Quality Assurance programmes within the practices to ensure the practice meets all CQC outcomes and legislative standards.
  • Ensuring the practices meet standards set by various bodies including the GDC, CQC and NHS England.
  • Providing support and leadership to enhance performance, skills and knowledge of practice staff throughout the company.
  • Strong commercial and business awareness in both NHS and Private dental sectors.
  • Handling patient queries/complaints and replies efficiently and ethically.
  • Human resource management including recruitment, inductions, staff inductions, team meetings, staff rota management, appraisals, and staff wages.
  • Supporting the team to develop their knowledge and skills to enhance performance.
  • Management of finances such as invoices, banking, producing reports.
  • Marketing and promotion of clinic via both internal marketing strategies as well as website, Google AdWords and social media platforms.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and changes in regulations.
