Job description

Our client is an award-winning, multidisciplinary environmental services provider based in Oxfordshire. About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Demolition Site Supervisor to join our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing on-site operations on demolition projects, ensuring that all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with legislative and company standards. You will play a key role in coordinating with various CDM dutyholders and managing a diverse team of demolition operatives and subcontract staff.

Responsibilities

  1. On-Site Management: Oversee day-to-day demolition operations in line with the employment contract and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  2. Team Leadership: Motivate and manage demolition operatives and subcontractors, ensuring they understand and follow safety protocols and company procedures.
  3. Technical Oversight: Interpret and mark up technical documentation such as drawings, asbestos surveys, and bills of quantities; ensure POW, risk assessments, and COSHH assessments reflect site conditions.
  4. Resource Coordination: Plan ahead to secure and optimize the use of materials, plant, and equipment, while maintaining accurate logs and site records.
  5. Communication: Represent our client on site, liaising with Demolition Contracts Managers, Project Managers, Operations Managers, and Quantity Surveyors to resolve issues and ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years’ experience in the demolition industry.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of building structures, safe demolition procedures, and asbestos survey implications.
  • Valid Driving Licence with essential certifications including HS&E Touchscreen test for Supervisors and a CCDO Supervisor card (or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to maintain electronic and hardcopy site records.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Pay range and compensation package
