Job description

Blue Arrow Derby are proud to be working in partnership with the global market leader in central heating units and they are looking to recruit a Demand Planner to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5pm, Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm (37 hours)

What will you be doing in the Demand Planner role:

  1. Manage availability of products effectively so the OTIF targets are met.
  2. Correctly place purchase orders within necessary lead times to ensure material availability.
  3. Forecast and manage material requirements in line with the demand pattern.
  4. Place distribution orders in good time to ensure availability and achieve Customer OTIF targets.
  5. Ensure quality issues are managed appropriately either directly with suppliers, internal/external customers or via Purchasing.
  6. Follow the correct Vaillant Group processes and external Customer sub-processes.
  7. Optimise and manage stock, observing appropriate financial targets and processes, along with seasonality.
  8. Maintain SAP/EPS systems with appropriate planning & stock parameters by material including van stock management.
  9. Co-operate in all operations to ensure coordination where necessary with the activities and requirements of other departments in the UK, specifically Vaillant Service and our commercial teams.
  10. Maintain and deliver on time all KPI's and business measures.

Previous experience and requirements:

  1. Degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields is preferable.
  2. Previous experience in a demand planning/forecasting role.
  3. Previous SAP experience and understanding of master data and MRP.
  4. Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  5. Strong statistical knowledge with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Power BI knowledge and skills would be an advantage.
