About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Demand Planning
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to lead the monthly item level sell-in forecast generation, enrichment & review processes for a Brand and Business category.
    • Lead the statistical forecasting process for designated portfolio.
    • Responsible for the development of the SKU level 24-month operational volume forecast by collaborating and aligning with cross-functional partners and the global demand team.
    • Build capability & mastery to drive continuous improvement in forecast processes, methodologies, and key demand planning performance metrics.
  • Integrated Business Planning
    • Support the Demand Review step of the S&OP process. Collaborate with cross-functional partners, supply chain, and with BU Business Development directors and/or key retail/distributor partners to ensure alignment on a monthly "consensus" forecast with a 24-month horizon.
    • Support the SOE process collaborating closely with sales, operations, and other cross-functional teams to provide forecast insights in the 0-6-month horizon to optimize fill rate and sales.
  • Master Data
    • Manage portfolio changes and the integrity of Blue Yonder master data to support statistical modeling, life cycle management, and inventory/performance optimization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Demand Planning
    • Provide item level forecasting for brand/channel portfolio, ensuring promo inputs from the planning process are integrated into the volume plan.
    • Review and release of the statistical forecast with history cleansing, factoring in sales trend, cannibalization, promotions, events, channel inventory, distribution changes, marketing events.
    • Ensure statistical forecasting is leveraged as a base for the volume planning process - definition & review of model parameters.
    • Share demand trends, key deviations and highlight volume risks and opportunities.
    • Support Marketing in Newness/New Product volume planning, forecast change management & postmortem performance analysis.
    • Collaborate with supply & deployment planning to ensure stock availability and meet service level targets.
    • Drive improved performance across all Demand Planning KPI's (MAPE/BIAS) including root cause analysis and action plan development.
    • Support life cycle management - including regional phase in-phase out, discontinuation.
    • Support local Excess and Obsolete action planning.
    • Ad hoc reporting creation in Blue Yonder and analysis to maximize forecast accuracy.
  • S&OP
    • Support Demand Review step of the S&OP process collaborating with sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure reconciliation & alignment of the demand plan.
    • Communicate recommended forecast changes and actionable demand insights in preparation for monthly alignment meetings and pre-consensus.
    • Review & analyze the 90-day forecast versus actuals and weekly pacing to highlight changes and trends in support of the weekly SOE process.
  • Master Data
    • Maintenance of Blue Yonder Demand Planning books.
    • Manage the integrity of master data to support life cycle management and demand planning performance optimization.

Key Stakeholders

  • Internal:
    • CRO, BU Unit leaders, Marketing, Channel Sales, Sales administration, and Finance.
    • Supply Chain Team & functional leads, New Product Development, External Manufacturing Operations.
  • External:
    • Key Customers & distributors.
    • Consultants and IT partners.

Key Metrics

  • Forecast Accuracy & BIAS - Forecast Value Add.
  • Forecast accuracy for core, promotional, and launch (1-month WMAPE lag 4).

Qualifications

  • +3 years' work experience in Supply Planning, CPFR, Finance, Demand Planning, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of best-in-class commercial forecasting methods & tools in FMCG industry.
  • Experience in statistical forecasting (Blue Yonder preferred).
  • Understanding & experience of best practices in S&OP / IBP.
  • Analytical and self-motivated with critical thinking mindset.
  • Ability to quickly adapt in a highly collaborative environment, a team player.
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate large raw data into reporting that is intuitive & impactful.
  • Ability to engage, influence and collaborate with key stakeholders & senior leadership.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, and proficiency in MS Office.
  • 4-year bachelor's degree required in related field.
  • Fluency in English a must (written and spoken).
  • IBF or APICS certification, preferred.
