Job description

Demand Planner
Doncaster, South Yorkshire (hybrid working 1-2 days in office)
Up to £40,000

Elevation Recruitment are thrilled to have partnered with a business in the Doncaster area as they look to recruit a Demand Planner into their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct bi-monthly analysis and forecasting of product demand, ensuring alignment with financial targets
  2. Prepare, adjust, and process stock orders on a monthly basis to maintain optimal inventory levels
  3. Plan and manage procurement, coordinating supplier call-offs as required
  4. Perform monthly desktop-based reconciliation of inventory with suppliers
  5. Oversee and track outstanding back orders, ensuring timely resolution through regular team updates
  6. Conduct quarterly physical stock checks to verify inventory accuracy
  7. Perform daily system checks to ensure smooth operation of databases and reporting tools
  8. Generate and submit financial reports for month-end closing and senior management reviews
  9. Attend and contribute insights in key operational and planning meetings, including: Weekly supply chain and revenue meetings, Technical and planning discussions, Supplier and manufacturing coordination meetings, Additional business strategy sessions as needed

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with financial reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting during month-end processes
  2. Maintain and manage customer-related data, including database updates and website integrations
  3. Analyse and enhance ERP system performance to improve workflow efficiency
  4. Support sales data analysis to identify trends and business opportunities
  5. Provide assistance with trade finance, invoice discounting, and related financial processes

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in inventory management, demand planning, or supply chain operations
  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
