DELIVERY DRIVER B LICENCE - MONDAY - SATURDAY - WEDNESDAY REST DAY

Salary: £26,208 P/A (40 hours) - £31,449.60 P/A (48 hours) at £12.60 per hour. Optional and as required Saturday/Bank Holiday at £18.90 per hour. London Allowances at £26 per day subject to route covering 66% of London Congestion Zone and M25.

Average of 48 hours per week, start time 07:30.

Polar Speed has a reputation for quality, compliance, operational and customer facing technology and monitoring solutions in the growing temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical logistics market in the UK. The company specialises in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers and medical care surgeries as well as to end patients which it serves through its homecare business. Its customers include some of the best known pharmaceutical brands in the world.

As a delivery and collection driver, you'll make between 30 and 50 collections and deliveries to GP surgeries, retail pharmacies, home delivery patients, wholesalers and hospitals.

For applicants new to delivery driver multi drop we can provide full training and when required for experienced delivery and collection drivers in our team we on occasion offer progression to C Licence categories when required.

You are contracted to 40 hours per week but on average our delivery drivers work 48 hours so you must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours as and when required to meet our service requirements which may be of an urgent medical nature (average 48 - 50 hours). For this role, you may expect to work on a Monday - Friday basis with bank holiday and overtime working as required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Complete daily safety checks of vehicle and refrigeration unit.
2. Check and scan all consignments.
3. Deliver consignments on an accurate and timely basis ensuring products stay within the required temperature range.
4. Ensure that records of deliveries are electronically captured and driver manifests are completed.
5. Maintain daily communications to provide service updates.
6. Demonstrate professional and safe driving competency at all times.
7. Present a smart working appearance at all times.

Key Skills/Experience/Requirements

1. A minimum of 2 years driving experience.
2. Must hold a B category driving licence (no more than 3 points).
3. Previous delivery and collection driver experience advantageous.
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
5. Ability to build effective working relationships with customers/clients, whilst appreciating the need for maintaining confidentiality.
6. Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise.
7. Good team player and able to work on your initiative.
