What your impact will be:
- Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify opportunities within the Defence and Intelligence sectors that have yet to be exploited by i2.
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company goals.
- Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, military organisations, and intelligence bodies.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, propose tailored solutions, and secure long-term partnerships.
- Proposal Development and Negotiation:
- Lead the preparation of high-quality proposals, bids, and presentations for potential clients.
- Work with local sellers and Business Development VP to support negotiations of contract terms and conditions, ensuring favourable outcomes for the company.
- Industry Expertise and Thought Leadership:
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars as a thought leader and expert.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, customer success and legal, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide insights and guidance to product development teams to align offerings with market demands.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and report on business development activities, including pipeline status, conversion rates, and revenue generation.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and strategic initiatives.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience working with or within the Intelligence functions of Defence and/or Intelligence sectors
- A demonstrable understanding of the Intelligence Processes of the defined market and how technology can be are applied to these processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
- Ability to travel as required for client engagements and industry events, predominately in the UK and Europe, with occasional travel globally.
