As the Assistant Sales Manager, you will support the Sales Manager in overseeing the used vehicle sales department, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to the overall success of our dealership.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Sales Manager in leading and motivating the used vehicle sales team to achieve sales targets and maximise customer satisfaction.
2. Support the sales process by assisting customers with inquiries, test drives, and vehicle presentations.
3. Help maintain an attractive and organised showroom/yard, ensuring vehicles are clean, well-presented, and properly merchandised.
4. Research and analyse competitor offerings to stay informed about industry trends and pricing strategies.
5. Assist with managing inventory levels, including ordering vehicles, coordinating trade-ins, and ensuring a diverse selection of used cars.
6. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
7. Support the Sales Manager in monitoring and analysing sales performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
8. Assist in maintaining accurate records and reports related to sales activities, customer interactions, and vehicle inventory.
9. Stay updated on product knowledge, industry developments, and dealership promotions to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
10. Perform other administrative and operational tasks as assigned by the Sales Manager.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in automotive used vehicle sales leadership is highly desirable.
2. Experience in valuing and buying with a strong understanding of the market.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and team members.
4. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in sales documentation and inventory management.
5. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
7. Knowledge of the automotive industry and familiarity with used vehicle market trends is advantageous.
8. Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
9. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
