DCS Services-Excavator Operator

Location: Cochrane, Ontario (Detour Lake Mine Site)
Report To: DCS Services Site Services Supervisor or DCS Projects Group Supervisor
Employment: Temporary full-time with 2 weeks in/2 weeks out remote site rotation
DCS Services LP is presently working throughout Northern Ontario, including Agnico Eagle’s – Detour Lake Mine site located north of Cochrane, Ontario. With our new Contract, we are currently looking to fill 2 Excavator Operator positions at Agnico Eagle’s Detour Lake Mine.

Job Description: As a member of the DCS team, the successful candidates will be responsible for operating an excavator on a temporary basis. These positions could involve manual labour and can be physically demanding; candidates are required to be flexible in handling a variety of tasks. You will also be required to work outdoors in various environments.
Preference will be given to qualified members of Moose Cree First Nation.

Requirements and Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Excavator Operator or related heavy equipment experience.
2. Valid certification to operate heavy equipment (e.g., Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate).
3. Solid understanding of site safety protocols and procedures.
4. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
5. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
6. Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

Experience working with Aboriginal communities is an asset.
Salary: Salary will be based on qualifications and experience as per DCS Policies.
