Experienced Electrical Engineer - Commercial Maintenance

Location: London

Salary: £43,000 - £46,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday

Are you a seasoned Electrical Engineer with strong commercial maintenance experience? We're looking for a highly skilled professional to join our team and take on a key role in maintaining critical building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) - Ensure all electrical systems run smoothly and efficiently.
  2. Reactive Maintenance & Fault Finding - Diagnose and repair faults quickly to minimize downtime.
  3. Electrical Installations & Upgrades - Work on power distribution, lighting, and emergency systems.
  4. Testing & Inspection - Conduct compliance checks, including 18th Edition wiring regulations.
  5. BMS & Control Systems - Monitor and adjust Building Management Systems (BMS) for optimal performance.
  6. Fire Alarm & Emergency Systems - Maintain and test fire alarms, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting.
  7. Compliance & Safety Documentation - Ensure all work meets regulatory and safety standards.
  8. Multi-Skilled Support - Collaborate with mechanical and fabric engineers when needed.

What We're Looking For:

  1. Fully Qualified Electrical Engineer - NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition required.
  2. Strong Commercial FM Experience - Proven background in maintaining commercial buildings.
  3. Proactive & Solutions-Oriented - Able to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
  4. Knowledge of Compliance & Safety Standards - Experience with BS 7671, BMS, and emergency systems.
