Lead Database Engineer – Permanent - £100,000 -£120,000 + Bonus & Benefits & Growth Opportunity

I am working with a growing data company in the global crypto economy. They are looking to bring in aLead Database Engineerto design, implement, and optimize scalable database solutions that power our applications and services.

You'll be working at the forefront of Blockchain and crypto and be part of an innovative and mission driven company.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, implement, and maintainrobust, scalable, and efficientdatabase solutions
• Optimise databaseperformance, security, and availability
• Work withcross-functional teamsto translate business needs into data-driven solutions
• Implementbest practicesfor database architecture, monitoring, and backup/recovery
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emergingcloud database technologies

What They're Looking For:

• Extensive experiencein database engineering, with a proven track record inlarge-scale databases
• Expertise inPostgreSQL, including performance tuning and optimization
• Cloud database experience(preferablyGCP or AWS)
• StrongDevOps knowledge(Terraform, automation, scripting)
• Excellentproblem-solving and communicationskills
• Knowledge ofdatabase security and compliance standards

Extra's

• Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes experience
• Cloud certification (AWS Certified Database - Specialty, Google Professional Data Engineer)
• Experience withPython, Bash, or automation tools
