Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Database Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems that support our business operations. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure data integrity and availability, while also optimising performance and scalability of our database solutions.

Duties

  1. Develop and maintain database systems using best practices in database design and data modelling.
  2. Write efficient SQL queries and SQL scripts to extract, manipulate, and analyse data.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  4. Implement data warehouse solutions to support reporting and analytics.
  5. Utilise SSIS for data integration tasks, ensuring seamless data flow between systems.
  6. Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary improvements.
  7. Work with databases to enhance business processes through effective data management.
  8. Document database designs, processes, and procedures for future reference.

Experience

  1. Proven experience in database development with a strong understanding of data modelling concepts.
  2. Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks related to database management.
  3. Familiarity with server environments and the ability to manage databases in a server context.
  4. Experience with data warehousing concepts and tools is highly desirable.
  5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to vaticinate potential issues before they arise.
  6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £22,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
