British Shooting has consistently created inspirational sporting moments and achieved Olympic and Paralympic medal success. British Shooting's aspiration is to be a consistent top five Olympic & Paralympic target shooting nation across the LA cycle. Through their #TargetChange initiative, British Shooting believe "our sport, could be your sport" and are passionate advocates for diversity & inclusion.

Great Britain is in the top 3 most successful pentathlon nations in history in a sport which has been a part of the modern Olympic Games since 1912. With a significant change on the format for LA 2028, Pentathlon GB plans to accelerate knowledge and learning of the integration of the new discipline of Obstacle racing to enable continued success on the world stage. Pentathlon GB aims to be a sustainable world-leading Olympic nation in the future, inspiring a broader section of backgrounds to take up the sport.

British Shooting and Pentathlon GB are looking for a Data Scientist to join their Performance Support Teams. This role is pivotal in leveraging data to gain a competitive edge, shaping performance insights, and guiding decision-making. Working closely with athletes, coaches, and staff, the Data Scientist will translate complex data into actionable insight, helping to optimise skill, health, and performance while advancing data-informed approaches to understanding success.

We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience of applying their expertise in data management, integration and visualisation. To be successful in this role you will need to be a highly motivated individual with a keen interest to learn new skills and a commitment to your personal development. You will have a passion for sport, data, an interest in technology, and enjoy working as a part of a high-performing team. If you are passionate about data science and feel that you can make a difference, then we encourage you to apply.

If you feel you can bring the expertise we require to help us shape our future, we very much look forward to hearing from you.
