Job Title: Data Scientist

Salary: £129,000 per year

Duration: 12 months

Location: UK Remote

About the Role:

As a Data Scientist, you'll have the opportunity to work with one of the richest data sets in the world. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and more, to tackle challenging problems and drive impactful product strategies. Your insights will directly influence the experiences we build for users and businesses alike!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Exploration: Work with large and complex data sets to uncover insights and solve challenging product problems using diverse analytical and statistical approaches.
  • Product Strategy: Collaborate with teams to identify new opportunities and challenges, helping prioritise product development to maximise value for users and businesses.
  • Analytical Guidance: Develop and test hypotheses using a wide range of analytical methodologies to inform product decisions and strategies.
  • Success Measurement: Define and monitor key product metrics to track success and identify trends that can guide future product enhancements.
  • Influence and Communication: Present data-driven stories to stakeholders, providing clear insights and recommendations that build credibility and foster collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field (or equivalent).
  • Sufficient years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), and statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R).
  • Proven track record of solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches and leading data-driven projects from definition to execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field.
  • Experience in user products, tech, or financial industries, with a strong focus on experimentation and product analytics.
