NEW PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE FOR A DATA SCIENCE ENGINEER IN MANCHESTER

Central Manchester Location with hybrid working options. Close proximity to multiple tram stops and nearby train station. £40,000 to £85,000 plus clearance bonus, performance bonus and benefits.

We are recruiting for a leading technology and engineering consultancy known for delivering cutting-edge technical solutions to National Security and Defence clients. With over 50 years of expertise and heritage, they are at the forefront of innovation in data science, AI, and machine learning. Due to ongoing growth and over 8 years of secured work, they are looking for a talented Data Science Engineer to join their team and work on mission-critical data services.

WHAT WILL THE DATA SCIENCE ENGINEER BE DOING?
As a Data Science Engineer, you will be responsible for developing a range of technical solutions focused on data services for National Security customers. You will work and innovate from low TRL R&D projects and facilitate the scaling to huge datasets. The work will involve a range of data science tasks to enable customers to make mission-critical analyses and decisions.

THE DATA SCIENCE ENGINEER SHOULD HAVE…

• Experience with Python and/or Python frameworks
• Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or NLP
• Data Analytics and data visualization
• Large data processing using Apache NiFi, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, or Accumulo
• DV clearance (we can’t accept applications without DV clearance at this time)

IT WOULD BE NICE FOR THE DATA SCIENCE ENGINEER TO HAVE…

• AWS experience or cloud-based data science solutions
• MLops or DataOps
• Containerization using Docker or Kubernetes
• Agile methodologies
• A great attitude towards new and innovative ways to utilize technology
