About us

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Families and Wellbeing Directorate for the role of Data Quality Assurance Officer (SEND). This is a key role within Education Services working across SEND Commissioning, the EHC Team and other SEND, ensuring that the data held for every SEND child and young person is quality assured in accordance with government guidance.

The role

The postholder will be responsible for maintaining the Capita database system to ensure it accurately holds information on all SEND children and young people, with the ability to accurately extract data for various audiences at any time. You will also be responsible for quality assuring SEND data to ensure robust SEN 2 data returns.

You will be required to produce guidance and deliver training and support to staff to ensure that SEND data is accurately maintained and that staff understand the processes and procedures related to the use of the Capita system, for existing modules but also the implementation of new modules as required.

What's needed?

You must have experience of quality assurance of data accuracy and using a database for the collection of DfE data, preferably Capita Database and SEN2.

You must have the ability to identify issues within the recording of data and challenge poor practices, while also contributing to ways to improve systems.

You must have the ability to provide and deliver a high standard of administrative responsibilities, with exceptional attention to detail. Also the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships, ensuring compliance to the processes and systems that you are responsible for.
