Responsibilities:
- This highly regarded firm is seeking an experienced lawyer to join their excellent Commercial team to support both private and public sector clients, including handling FOI and EIR requests.
- The role will involve advising on the application of GDPR principles across a wide range of client projects, overseeing data sharing and export processes, and offering guidance on governance and compliance matters.
- Additionally, responsibilities include managing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), supporting responses to data breaches, and handling complaints and investigations initiated by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
- You will be expected to draft privacy notices, compliance policies and procedures, commercial terms for controller and processor data sharing, and responses to various requests.
- The appointed candidate must possess a solid technical foundation and a deep understanding of Data Protection and Information Governance, with the ability to effectively apply these principles across diverse commercial contracting agreements.
- You will be confident, approachable, and have previous experience gained from a well-regarded firm. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work with limited supervision are also essential.
