Reporting into the Chief Compliance Officer, you’ll help manage any potentially sensitive information, conduct regular internal security audits and serve as the main point of contact between the business and data protection authorities.

You’ll monitor internal compliance, inform and advise on the firm’s data protection obligations, provide advice regarding Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and act as a point of contact for data subjects and the ICO.

You’ll provide expert advice to colleagues across the business on important data compliance requirements, identify and evaluate the data processing activities, draft new and amend existing data protection policies and procedures, and implement a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with GDPR.

You’ll have demonstrable experience in data protection compliance and an expert knowledge of data protection laws and practices, including a deep understanding of GDPR. Any previous experience of data processing operations in the insurance sector would be advantageous but certainly not essential. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are a prerequisite for the role.
