With rapid growth and new investment, we are expanding our team and seeking a dedicated Data Protection Officer (DPO) to join us.

As our Data Protection Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with data protection laws and best practices across the business. Reporting to the Legal Counsel and Company Secretary, you will be responsible for developing policies, advising on compliance obligations, managing data subject requests, and overseeing incident management processes.

More about the role:

  • Policy Development & Implementation – Drive compliance initiatives, ensuring best practices across the business.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Training – Educate and collaborate with teams to embed data protection principles.
  • Point of Contact – Serve as the primary liaison with internal teams and regulatory bodies, including the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
  • Incident Management – Oversee data breaches, ensuring timely reporting and resolution.
  • Supplier Management – Review supplier contracts to maintain compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) – Conduct and oversee DPIAs to mitigate risks.
  • Audits & Reporting – Conduct regular compliance audits and report key metrics to senior stakeholders.

More about you:

  • Experience – Proven track record in data privacy, with strong knowledge of GDPR, PECR, and other data protection laws. Experience in privacy risk assessments and audits is essential.
  • Skills – Strong organisational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to develop and implement compliance systems.
  • Communication – Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels.
