We have a 12-month fixed term contract role for a Data Protection (GDPR Oversight) Manager at SCIB UK.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining and managing our Data Protection framework in order to protect personal data of colleagues and clients and prevent data breaches. You’ll also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the wider SCIB UK Compliance teams.

The difference you’ll make:

  1. Working collaboratively with the wider Compliance team and other stakeholders to ensure there is appropriate oversight, guidance, support, and challenge in relation to the Data Protection framework
  2. Ensuring that SCIB is compliant with GDPR and other relevant regulations, by maintaining relevant policies/procedures and the provision of management information
  3. Managing and keeping Record of Processing Activities up to date
  4. Managing the enquiries and alerts regarding the Data Breaches; following up actions and updating the Data Breach Register
  5. Drafting and updating privacy policies and procedures
What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  1. Proven and demonstrable track record of working within a Data Protection focused role
  2. Experience in managing data protection compliance for a multinational organisation with a diverse regulatory landscape knowledge of global data protection regulations and privacy laws
  3. Experience in Privacy and Security Risk Assessment including providing guidance on risk assessments and best practices to mitigate risks
It would also be nice for you to have:

  1. Knowledge and an understanding of the financial services environment
  2. Experience of investigations and broader regulatory conduct agenda
  3. Investment banking experience
What else you need to know:

This is a 12-month fixed term contract role which is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston stations.

We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 3 days a week (pro-rata for part-time roles).

If you apply for this role in this location, it’s important you consider your travelling distance, time and cost from your home to the office location.

As well as a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy a benefits package that you can tailor to your needs. For contract roles, your salary, bonus (where eligible) and certain benefits will be prorated to reflect your contract duration.

  1. We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
  2. 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5 years service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.
