Data Protection Manager – 6 months FTC

We are working with a multinational financial services company, they are looking for an experienced Data Protection Manager to join their team on a 6 months FTC. They are offering hybrid working, a competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• In-depth knowledge of the UK and EU regulatory frameworks for privacy and data protection, with an awareness of global developments.
• Experience working in a privacy and data protection operational discipline, including process analysis, conducting assessments, and drafting documentation.
• Proven track record of supporting UK/EU and global privacy and data protection projects to design and implement control and policy frameworks while assisting business functions.
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrable experience managing data breaches, complaints, and data subject rights requests, and advising the business on privacy, data protection, and information governance requirements.
• Excellent understanding of information governance practices, including information lifecycle management, controls and assurance, and information security.
• Ability to think strategically while delivering change at a practical level, working with and advising the business to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently, and challenging while supporting the business.
• Practitioner with extensive knowledge and experience in operationalizing privacy and data protection in a complex, ideally regulated environment.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Preferable, but not essential, to have a CIPP/E qualification.
• Strong team player, leveraging the benefits of teamwork to achieve stronger results.
• Prior experience promoting a culture of privacy and data protection compliance.
• Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
