The Role

As part of the broader Addepar Data Architecture & Integration organization, the Data Client Projects team is responsible for converting and onboarding existing client portfolio data onto Addepar. During the lifecycle of a project, members of this team will coordinate data transmission/extraction, transform and import data, and assist with the validation of the data. Accurate and timely completion of these projects are essential in enabling our clients to take full advantage of Addepar's reporting and analysis capabilities.
What You'll Do

  • Serve as a "player/coach" who will contribute to and supervise a team of Data Projects Analysts in Edinburgh, Scotland.
  • Partner with members of Sales and Services organizations to drive alignment on project cost estimates and deliverables, and to ensure positive client outcomes.
  • Manage and complete data conversion projects of varying complexity from third-party systems and files sourced from our custodial data partners.
  • Develop and maintain effective process controls and accurate metrics to ensure quality standards and organizational expectations are met.
  • Partner with members of Product and Engineering to design, test, and implement new processes and tooling features that improve data quality as well as increase operational efficiency.
  • Manage the onboarding, mentorship, and career development of individuals on the team through timely and effective performance feedback and by providing learning and growth opportunities.
  • Lead the team to accomplish goals that are aligned with the organization's business and culture objectives and hold self and everyone accountable for meeting expectations.
  • Collaborate with leads of different organizations on new data related initiatives and product offerings.
  • Maintain team resources and procedural documentation, and ensure metrics are accurately recorded for internal analytics.
Who You Are
  • Significant experience in the financial industry, securities modeling, post-trade processing or trade-surveillance systems.
  • Detailed in documenting information and best practices and exhibits good follow through techniques.
  • Proven ability to plan, design, and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients, data providers, as well as internal partners.
  • Track record of effective problem solving abilities, self-motivation to take on responsibility, and a strong team-player mentality.
  • Experience with leading teams, cross-functional projects and learning and development initiatives.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing with clients, custodial data providers, as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Forward looking and pragmatic on finding effective solutions to complex issues.
  • Technical skills preferred in any or all of the following: Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, SQL, Python (Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Requests, PySpark, etc.), Databricks, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, or other common financial services systems and applications.
  • Proficiency in French, German, and other languages are a plus.
