Data Product Manager - AirOps Data Office
Job Description Summary
The Product Manager in the Business Data Office is a key role that bridges data, technology, and business strategy. This position in the AirOps Business Data Office is responsible for developing and managing data-driven products and solutions that align with organizational goals and user needs. The Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure that data products are scalable, reliable, and provide tangible business value.
Common Accountabilities:
- Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in their discipline. Knowledge of the Amadeus business and its relation to their area.
- Works following established procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions.
- Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.
- Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from the manager.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Develop and Communicate Product Strategy: Define the product strategy, vision, and business value in collaboration with business owners and stakeholders. Articulate value propositions and key messages into new product concepts or upgrades.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure effective communication, project progress, and end-to-end solution consistency.
- Data Governance and Quality: Ensure data governance processes are in place to maintain data quality, security, and compliance. Deliver training on data governance frameworks and ways of working.
- Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor performance KPIs on data completeness and cataloguing. Analyze data to inform product decisions, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage Partnerships and Co-Innovation: Manage third-party partnerships, coordinate product evolution, and support co-innovation with customers to validate value drivers and prioritize features.
- Product Roadmap and Agile Participation: Define and manage the product roadmap, align timelines with stakeholders, and participate in Agile events to maximize team outcomes and ensure product readiness.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
- Relevant Experience: Significant work experience (>3/5 years) in Product Management, Portfolio Management, Strategy, or Data Product Management, or equivalent experience.
- Technical and Analytical Skills: Knowledge of data governance tools, strong analytical skills, and the ability to present complex content in a simple and clear way.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with excellent English verbal and written communication.
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Results-oriented and problem-solving mindset, flexible and adaptable to work in a complex and evolving environment.
- Product Lifecycle Knowledge: Knowledge and execution of the entire product lifecycle process.
- Industry Understanding: Understanding of the airline and/or airport business and Amadeus internal network is a strong asset.
