Data Privacy & Security Manager

14-month contract

£38 per hour (Inside IR35), 40 hours per week

*Applicants MUST have proof of immediate, ongoing and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.*

About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM, based in Gaydon, who are seeking a Data Privacy & Security Manager to join their team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as an SME within the Data Advisory team, within Product Engineering.
• Review & risk assess complex Product Engineering projects that handle personal data, in line with the EU and UK Data Protection Legislation.
• Identify & articulate high-risk processing complex data flows, the role of third parties handling data, international data transfers, industry-specific guidelines, data minimisation techniques & data subject rights adherence.

Qualifications / Skills needed:

• Proven experience as a dedicated Privacy professional.
• Previous experience advising on technical/technology-based processes.
• The ability to communicate complex legal arguments to Engineering colleagues.
• CIPP/E qualification, Law degree, Engineering/IT degree or Qualified lawyer.
• Telecommunications industry experience (beneficial).
