Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Data Privacy Lawyer to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a junior data protection/privacy lawyer looking to transition into an in-house role while still enjoying the benefits of working within a law firm environment.
The successful candidate will have the chance to work on diverse aspects of legal risk, including financial crime compliance, claims, complaints, insurance, engagement terms, contracts, data privacy, and regulatory engagement.
What you'll do:
As a Data Privacy Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the firm's compliance with Data Protection Legislation. You will be responsible for supporting the firm's GDPR programme, managing personal data breach notifications, and responding to individual queries regarding data protection. Additionally, you will lead the maintenance of data protection policies and procedures and support the DPO on data protection requirements relating to AI developments. Your role will also involve keeping abreast of international data protection developments.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Data Privacy Lawyer position is a qualified solicitor with around 2 years' post-qualification experience. Experience in data protection and AI work would be advantageous. You should be able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities. Resilience, flexibility, responsiveness, and self-motivation are key traits that will enable you to excel in this role.
