It's an exciting time to join, as we are undergoing a change programme to implement Dynamics 365 so there is the opportunity to get involved in data mapping and migration activity from our legacy systems.
More about the role
As our Data Manager, you will be responsible for optimising the flow of data into our CRM system, provide oversight of the data lifecycle and ensure data is governed by the necessary policies and processes, which includes data on the pets we help, their guardians and supporters of Blue Cross.
You will be the Blue Cross lead on CRM data and will champion and contribute to the delivery of our data strategy, supporting our vision for our information to be trusted, accessible and used to change the lives of pets and people.
Working closely with Information Services colleagues, you will assist in the evolution and maintenance of the data lake(s)/repositories within the organisation, with a focus on leading the governance of organisational data.
You will be leading, motivating, and inspiring a highly skilled team, consisting of two data engineers and a Data Compliance Officer. With them, you will be ensuring continuous improvement of data capture, quality and extraction.
About you
You will be a highly experienced data professional and a keen innovator with a passion for finding new and more effective ways to ingest and migrate data.
With your significant knowledge and awareness of data management best practice, including ensuring data compliance, you will have experience in processes and routines that mean the highest data quality is achieved.
You will be an innovative and inspiring manager of people, with a desire to stretch yourself and your team, you will provide coaching and mentoring to ensure Blue Cross adopts new and more effective ways to ingest and migrate data.
You will be adept at discussing technical subject matter with non-technical audiences, to share knowledge and promote the team's capabilities across the organization.
