Overview:
We're hiring a Data Delivery Lead to oversee the delivery of a critical reporting project. You'll be the key internal point of contact, owning the project from initial requirements through to final delivery.

Working alongside an external development partner (HCL), you'll translate business needs into technical requirements, validate SQL/Python code and data logic, and ensure the solution meets stakeholder expectations. This is a hands-on coordination role - ideal for someone with strong data knowledge who can confidently steer delivery without being the one writing production code.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Own the delivery of a high-priority data/reporting project from end to end.
2. Work with business users (finance, operations, head office) to gather and refine reporting requirements.
3. Read and interpret SQL and Python code to validate data logic and outputs.
4. Bridge the gap between business and technical teams, ensuring accuracy and clarity in requirements.
5. Coordinate with an external development partner (HCL) to ensure timely and correct implementation.
6. Act as the internal technical voice on the project - challenging logic, identifying issues, and driving solutions.
7. Manage communication, blockers, and progress updates to keep stakeholders aligned.

Essential Skills:

1. Strong SQL knowledge - able to read, understand, and challenge queries.
2. Solid working knowledge of Python - especially in the context of data workflows.
3. Proven experience leading delivery of reporting/data projects.
4. Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into clear technical briefs.
5. Comfortable working independently and acting as the key internal project lead.
6. Experience working with or managing external development/consulting teams.
7. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:

1. Familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI or QlikView (not essential).
2. Experience in data transformation or reporting consolidation projects.
