Data Centre Engineer - Financial Services - London - 12 month Contract

My client, an award-winning company and arm of a global financial services brand, is seeking an experienced Data Centre Engineer to manage and maintain their European data centre and colocation sites.

The role will involve maintaining servers, networking hardware, and storage systems, ensuring quick resolution of incidents, and monitoring power, cooling, and space usage.

You will also oversee security and compliance standards, manage vendor relationships, and maintain accurate documentation. Strong collaboration with internal teams is key, along with troubleshooting and providing out-of-hours support as needed.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in hardware installation and maintenance.
• Experience with vendors such as Dell, HP, Cisco & Arista.
• Knowledge of structured cabling (fibre and copper).
• Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues quickly.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to document and communicate technical details clearly.
• Ability to work independently and provide on-call support when needed to address urgent issues or incidents.

The role will be a hybrid position in London where you'll be required in office a minimum of 2 days per week.
