We're looking for a Data Capability Lead to lead and shape the future of our data management and analytics initiatives. This leadership role will align our data capabilities with business objectives and ensure that we harness the full potential of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities

As the Data Capability Lead, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how we manage, analyse, and use data across the business. This strategic focused position will involve leading the development and execution of a comprehensive data strategy, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a data-driven culture. You'll also spearhead the integration of advanced technologies, including AI and advanced analytics, to drive impactful business decisions and outcomes.

Expected Outcomes:
  1. Deliver faster, more accurate insights that enable strategic and operational decisions.
  2. Personalise and optimise customer interactions through data-driven strategies.
  3. Increase ROI from data and analytics investments, reducing operational inefficiencies.
  4. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations while unlocking the value of shared data.
Support for Business Objectives:

The Data Capability Lead will directly support the company's broader objectives by:

  1. Modernising core infrastructure for greater cloud adoption.
  2. Addressing key initiatives, such as ERP updates and advanced metering programs.
  3. Building a foundation for innovations like AI and real-time data capabilities.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Bachelor's Degree: In Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Master's Degree (preferred): MSc in Data Science, Business Analytics, Data Engineering, or Information Management will be advantageous.

Technical Competency:
  1. Proven experience in implementing data governance, data modelling, and analytics frameworks.
  2. Practical knowledge or certifications in SQL, Python, or R.
  3. Certification in Power BI or other data visualisation tools is preferred.
